Starlink rental for events & film production
Temporary internet for festivals, corporate events, remote shoots, and production offices is one of the clearest use cases for third-party Starlink kit rental. Operators range from ship-a-Mini DIY boxes to bonded multi-path packages and turnkey LA production crews. Rent Starlink (rentstarlink.net) is a directory and guide hub — we do not operate a fleet, sell event Wi‑Fi, or host peer-to-peer kit listings.
Three common event rental shapes
- DIY ship-box — Mini or Standard kit in a hard case, prepaid return, password drop. Suited to small crews who can aim the dish and manage guests. US day rates in our census often cluster in the same band as trip rentals (~$18–$70/day for Mini/Standard packages on public pages).
- Bonded / managed event Wi‑Fi — Starlink plus cellular bonding, WAN smoothing, failover, and sometimes a free setup day. Example from the 2026-09-30 competitor census: FACT WiFit public pricing listed Starlink at $650 first week / $150 add'l week, and Starlink+5G+battery at $1000 / $300 add'l week — confirm live on their site.
- Turnkey production internet — Business-class Starlink, dual-carrier bonding, on-site crew. Example: FACT Spirinity Productions (Greater LA) publicly listed event internet from $2,500/day. Studio Technical Services (LA / Orange County pickup; ships CA) positions film/event rentals with portal booking and deposits — rates often quote-only.
What production buyers usually ask
- Throughput and contention during guest peaks — ask for recent measured speeds at similar venues, not only brochure Mbps.
- Failover path (second Starlink, 5G, fiber handoff) and who monitors it during show hours.
- Setup window, cable runs, power, and whether the dish needs a clear sky view on a roof / genie / cart.
- Insurance, damage deposit, and late-return fees — common on fleet rental agreements.
- Plan type the operator runs (Roam-style vs Priority / Mobile Priority). We do not invent Starlink ToS clauses; see our how-to-rent guide for FACT/GUESS labels from public ToS samples, and read Starlink's live Terms yourself.
